"I really enjoyed the Chinese Day event. I got to experience fun activities I've never tried before, such as making traditional ink and brush paintings, playing pitching-pot, and making sugar paintings," said a South Korean student studying at the Yantai Huasheng International School.

“我非常喜欢‘中国日’活动，可以体验到有趣的活动，比如吹墨画、投壶，还有做糖画。”烟台华圣外籍人员子女学校的一名韩籍学生高兴地说。

On Feb 2, coinciding with the traditional Little New Year in northern China, over a hundred people from more than 10 countries and regions gathered at the school in the Huang-Bohai New Area to experience Chinese Day activities and experience the charm of Chinese cuisine and culture.

2月2日，正值中国北方小年，烟台华圣外籍人员子女学校的上百名中外友人共聚一堂，体验“中国日”活动，感受中国美食、文化魅力。

At the traditional food exhibition area, a wide array of sizzling traditional Chinese snacks was on offer, such as fried sweet cakes, boiled glutinous rice balls, spring rolls, and sugar-coated haws. Various patterned pastries were neatly arranged, looking especially tempting.

传统美食展区上，炸糖糕、煮汤圆、炸春卷、做糖葫芦一应俱全。不同花纹的糕点也被整齐摆放着，十分精美诱人。

The traditional culture and tourism area was also bustling with activity. A girl from Canada got the chance to try paper-cutting, couplet-writing, and ink painting. She particularly enjoyed writing with a brush, which she had never done before.

传统文娱项目展区也是人头攒动，十分热闹。一位来自加拿大的女孩先后体验了剪纸、写春联、吹墨画、套圈等多个项目。她表示非常喜欢写毛笔字，这是她第一次参与。
